A rough day

We went Blue Fin Tuna fishing today and saw some of the best aerial displays from the birds that I have ever seen. I managed to capture some of it on video, not very good footage but it will give you an idea.

Introducing the Roscoe Jig from Blue Water Candy Lures. I was able to fish off the NC coast with BWC president Jodie Gay and witness first hand how effective these vertical jigs are.

This is about where we saw how bad the fray was getting. Then the big guy took off for another nice run.

This is just before he popped the line. Got a pretty good look at him next to the boat.

We got a pretty good look at the fish about 55 minutes in to it. He was about 30ft off starboard.

The fish is wearing Mike out so he comes out of the top layer. I think this is where we got a good view of the fish for the first time.

This is where Mike spelled Tim on the reel. The fish also got straight down and a little behind the boat. We think this is where he nicked the mono and caused the fray that eventually popped.
